Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers numerous advantages to journalists, allowing them to automate a huge number of tasks in the news content production chain. It can offer new opportunities to find stories hidden in big data or documents, or to use speech to text to make audio searchable and useable.
Can AI:
- Automate a task?
- Make it more efficient?
- Provide Insights?
- Do it at a greater scale?
- Do it more reliably?
Aimed at journalists and editors with little or no detailed knowledge of AI and its impact on news, this e-Master Class will offer four live virtual modules with the contribution of world-class experts so that trainees will gain the skills to begin using AI in their daily work.
For the three first modules, Mark Egan will be live from Norway, direct from TV 2 Norway and the Media Lab. This will help participants understand the reality of AI today and how it is being developed for the future. The fourth module led by Sebastien Noir will be a detailed explanation of three use cases, for those who want to have a technical description of the EBU tools.
