Topic - "Algorithmic Defense mechanisms against online Fake News"
- Online fake news has recently emerged as a major societal problem. Malicious actors spread fallacious viral stories in order to gain advertising revenue, influence opinions, and even tip elections. Therefore countering the spread of disinformation online presents an urgent technical and political issue.
We’ll have conversation about ML-based disinformation threats and how they can be countered.
18:15 - 18:45 Talk 2 ( 30 Min) - "Data science in predictive maintenance" - Yapi Donatien Achou is a Data Scientist currently working with Moholt AS, will give an overview on the application of data science in Predictive maintenance. Specifically, he'll talk about a method based on wavelet decomposition and statistical dispersion, to estimate the health index of a bearing.
