Study Tour: Join NCE Media to visit IBC in Amsterdam

Published 26.06.2019
In 2018, the Norwegian Media Cluster set up its own stand at IBC in Amsterdam for the first time; The Media City Bergen Pavilion. Now, you can join for a study tour, and get a first hand experience of whats going on at Europe’s largest media technology trade show.

The IBC Show is the number one technology European conference and expo, gathering around 60,000 participants and around 1700 exhibitors to experience cutting edge solutions and industry innovations. This is an important arena for the Norwegian Media Cluster, where several of the cluster companies are present to showcase innovations and solutions. Last year the Media City Bergen Pavilion opened for the first time, offering space for 14 Media Cluster Companies under one roof.

Study Tour at IBC
You can join NCE Media for a one day study tour to IBC, having a complete tour of the trade show, and of course visits to all the Norwegian Media Cluster companies expoing, including Vizrt, Vimond, Electric Friends, and Sixty. We will repeat last year’s success and invite you to a guided tour of the expo – naturally with a stop at the Media City Bergen Pavillion. You will meet the cluster companies and visit their stands, network with industry leaders and see how the cluster members work during the IBC. You will also be able to try out and be updated on the latest technology, and get a glimpse of whats emerging. No technical skills are required to attend.

The 160 square meters large Media City Bergen Pavilion will be excellently located, right next to the IBC Future Zone in one of the many large expo halls. Several of the cluster companies will be present at the MCB Pavilion, where it also will be possible for other cluster members, who usually do not participate at the IBC, to join and be present. We will host a variety of activities, product demonstrations and quick presentations, and of course social events every afternoon.

Bård Sandal, County Director Regional Development, at Hordaland Fylkeskommune, summarized last year's visit like this:

– It has been very inspiring to see how the Media Cluster is working here at IBC, and also to get a grasp of the international standing that the cluster has. This doesn't only create growth and value in the region back at home, the work being done is also of great significance for the global industry.
