Helge O. Svela comes from a position at Bergens Tidende, where he has been in several roles over the past 16 years, including editor and journalist. Before joining Bergens Tidende, Svela was a journalist at Rogalands Avis. He was awarded a diploma for one of Norway’s first digital fact-checking projects from SKUP, which is Norway’s most prestigious award for investigative journalism. In 2018, Svela wrote a book about his brilliant dog Whisky, who can distinguish between almost 200 different toys.
