Wolftech sets up their first own stand at NAB

Published 09.04.2019
After having co-located with Vimond at their NAB stand for for many years, Wolftech is for the first time featuring their own stand at the 2019 NAB Show

– After an exciting year with several new contracts, it was a natural choice to make the step up with a larger stand to welcome new and existing customers and partners, says CEO Arne Berven.

Within the last year the company has signed contracts with a number of large broadcasters like BBC and RTL Germany, and is rapidly hiring new people to keep up with the demand.

At the NAB show, along with focusing on news organizations, Wolftech is also expanding into the long form production market with a new addition to the Wolftech News software that allows businesses, including those outsides of the traditional news environment, to plan and organize longer video productions. The first signed customer using this module is Vice Media in New York, a customer that has already taken delivery of the News product.

Media Cluster tradition
There is a strong tradition in the media cluster for companies to help each other, and for the larger companies to offer some space at their boots for smaller companies, hence making it easier for smaller companies to reach an international marked. In this tradition Wolftech has been at presenting at the Vimond booth for many years, before they now are setting up their own.

Vimond had several news for NAB
Also Vimond had a new stand this year, showing their new branding and profile.

CCO Andreas Helland and the Vimond team had a busy couple of days at NAB, meeting with customers and clients from around the world.

– The news from Vimond this year at NAB are several. We have invested heavily in development and our platform is more scalable, robust and flexible than ever before. Before, flexibility has typically meant having to pay large sums of professional services to adapt and integrate, we can now confidently say that our platform fits into the advanced ecosystems and needs of top media companies efficiently without the need for huge investments in professional services. For Vimond IO we are very happy to showcase a new integration with After Effects and further enhancement of the interface. The response to our platform and IO development has been terrific and we look forward to continuing many discussions after the show, says Helland.

Vimond's Stein Erik Sørhaug also gave a talk on one of the stages at the expo hall, talking about how to achieve broadcast scale through cloud native Technologies.
