January 15-16: SVG Nordic Summit at Media City Bergen

We kick off the new year with the first-ever SVG Nordic Summit here in Media City Bergen. The Nordic Summit will include an extensive tour of Media City Bergen as well as a half day seminar program including sessions on development of the site, the present and future of broadcast sports graphics, the possibilities heralded by remote production, and a keynote conversation with Eirik Solheim, strategic advisor of Norwegian Broadcaster NRK.

Eivind Sandstrand, our new Business & Sales Development Manager, was interviewed by SVG Europe about what one can expect at the upcoming event. Check out the video here.

This event is a collaboration between Sports Video Group Europe and NCE Media. We would like to express our gratitude to The DigUiB Learning and Communication Lab in Media City Bergen for their great support in facilitating this event. February 26: Justin Ferrell to Media City Bergen!
In February, we will have the pleasure of hosting a two-day workshop with Justin Ferrell from Stanford d.school. Justin Ferrell joined the the d.school in 2012 to design and direct its fellowship program, a leadership accelerator for restless experts who want to transform their industries.

The program helps entrepreneurial professionals learn and apply design thinking to organization design, to create and spread large-scale transformations. Since its launch, fellows have designed systems interventions in corporate innovation strategy, international development, financial services, legal technology, government workforce collaboration, and many other areas.

A former journalist, Justin worked for seven years at The Washington Post, most recently as the director of digital, mobile and new product design. Also a prolific visual storyteller, Justin designed the investigative series “Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency,” winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting, as well as four other Pulitzer finalists.

On top of these events, there will of course be a number of breakfast seminars, Show & Tells, workshops, social events, a ‘SkatteFUNN’-seminar, as well as some brand new concepts. Stay tuned!
