University of Bergen 

The University of Bergen (UiB) is the key academic partner in the Media Cluster. Department of Information Science and Media Studies, is co-located in MCB together with leading media and media technology companies including TV2, NRK, Vizrt, Bergens Tidene, IBM, and Vimond. The Department collaborates with these companies within education, research and innovation, and this gives students a unique experience and closeness to the industry.

The University of Bergen is a founding partner of Media City Bergen and the Department of Information Science and Media Studies represents the University in the media cluster. The Department offers three bachelors programmes and three master programmes within journalism, TV production, and media and interaction design, as well as PhD education.

University of Stavanger

The University of Stavanger, on the South West Coast of Norway, has 12000 students and 1600 faculty, administration and service staff.

In constant collaboration and dialogue with their surroundings, regionally, nationally and internationally, they enjoy an open and creative climate for education, research, innovation, dissemination and museum activities.

UiS will have an innovative and international profile, and will be a driving force in knowledge development and in the process of societal change.

Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL)

The Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) is a large education and research institution with operations on several media related fields. The Media Cluster particularly has a strong collaboration with the master programs Innovation and Management and Innovation and Entrepreneurship

BI Norwegian Business School 

BI Norwegian Business School is an internationally recognized not-for-profit private institution, located in Norway. Established in 1943, BI has one of Europe’s largest and most productive academic environments.

The master’s programme Leadership and Change is developed in close collaboration with NCE Media in the media cluster and other clusters. The programme is targeting people who want to play a role in shaping the future, and the students will be equipped to lead, and manage rapid change.

Norwegian School of Economics (NHH)

NHH affiliated institutes SNF and AFF constitutes the NHH Group, the leading centre for research and study in the fields of economics and business administration in Norway.

NHH also offers an executive education of the highest quality, with professional relevance and broad perspectives based on the latest research. This program is developed in collaboration with NCE Media. The aim is to challenge the participants’ assumptions, introduce them to new ideas and disrupt their traditional way of doing business. The executive short program will focus on innovation management and will provide industry leaders with up-to-date insight that can contribute to increased value creation. The program is open for leaders and specialists from all industry cluster companies.

Noroff

Noroff is an educational institution made from a strong digital DNA. They design and develop their own study programs together with relevant industry partners, thus accommodating the future's demand. 


Metis

Metis upper secondary school aims to be one of the best and most innovative upper secondary schools in Norway. Here, you will meet competent and committed teachers and motivated students. Metis upper secondary school has a total of 590 students in the following education programs: Program for Media and Communication, Programme for Specialization in General Studies, Programme for Top-Level Sports, Programme for Service and Transport, ICT Service (2nd year) and Supplementary Studies Qualifying for Higher Education (3rd year). Metis upper secondary school is a part of Metis Education, a provider of a number of services within education and competence enhancement. In the Media Cluster we particularly have a strong collaboration with the Programme Media and Communication.

Bergen Private Gymnas

Bergen Private Gymnas (BPG) is an upper secondary school right in the centre of Bergen. BPG is a school of 525 students in the education programmes: Media and Communication, Programme for Specialization in General Studies and Programme for Music, Dance and Drama. Bergen Private Gymnas is a part of Metis Education, a provider of a number of services within education and competence enhancement. In the Media Cluster we particularly have a collaboration with the programme Media and Communication.
